Walk-o-rama!

Bonjour mes amis du blog!

Wow! The Montreal march-a-thon was wicked cool! We met Ari’s family at the border and road tripped up to the French Isle of Montreal. Luca put us up at his hotel which is right downtown in the middle of all the action! (Thanks Luca!!!) Ari and I partied late Friday night, even though my dad got us lost driving into town. Mama and Dad woke me up at the crack of dawn to go to the park.

We started with a tailgate party in the back of the car Mama rented for the road trip. I got in my wagon and decided to let Dad pull me this time.

Despite the rain, lots of people showed up including Emma’s Uncle who turns out to be a police bear! How cool is it to have a big fuzzy bear in the family! Most of my uncles don’t have any hair left on top of their head, much less furry paws.

We only went about 100 meters before Mama and Dad started complaining about getting tired, asking if we were there yet, and taking shortcuts. Ari got her dad to carry her. It looked so sweet I asked my Dad to carry me; big mistake.

Arianne and her parents were there of course. Luca supplied lots of food after the big walk. My friends in Montreal know how to party and they raised over $15,000 for the Quebec Angelman Foundation! I am so glad to be part of the gang!

My parents were so tired from the walk you would think they ran a marathon or something. They thought I needed a nap after the big party so Dad laid down for a rest in the hotel room. Boring. I figured out how to open the hotel room door and let myself out all quiet like so I would not wake him. I was making a dash down the hall for Ari’s room when Dad comes racing out after me. I said dad, I thought you were napping. I would have invited you if you weren’t laying down for your afternoon nap. Sorry Luca and Arianne. They were too tired to join the party at Emma’s later that night.

Meagan Sidney

We spent like 20 hours at Ikea the next day. Mama bought so much stuff I thought they were gonna leave me at the store and come back for me next week. We did get to visit Emma after the Ikea expedition and we had a great time. Emma’s sisters Meagan and Sidney are getting so big!

Emma

Thanks for everything Emma, Arianne and especially Luca – we had a fantastic time. I am really looking forward to the picnic! See the rest of the photos here – Montreal 2006 Walk-a-thon.

Bounce-o-RAMA

Bloggees!

I went to the ultimate bounce party today! Our neighborhood school had a fun fair this afternoon. I was a more than a little dubious that it would actually be “fun” since my parents really wanted to go to check out the school. Meeting teachers, seeing the classrooms…that is my parents' idea of fun. But it turned out to be wicked cool. They did not get me any cotton candy, but I did get to bounce with the big kids in the air castle!!!

This was better than a mosh pit. I was flying everywhere! They have special netting on the side so I would not flop outside the ride.

There were two bounce-o-mania rides! The second one was a little less crazy but I still had fun.

I was pretty pooped by the end of all this bouncing so we walked home. It is really cool that my school is only two blocks away. I’m gonna ask mama and Dad to get me one of those bounce pits for my birthday. They keep saying that I’m gonna have a little sister or brother for my birthday. Cool, but I still want an air castle. The little one can bounce with me in it.

This is the street to my school. The school is about four blocks from our house. Dad made me pull him in the wagon the most of the way home. That’s all for today. Don't forget - Mamas RULE! Happy Mama’s day.
