Maggie Makes the News (Again)

We had our big press event down at City Hall to declare May 21st Angelman Syndrome Awareness Day. Assembly Rep Barb Lifton and State Senator James Seward sponsored the resolution in the State Legislature. Govenor Pataki issued the official proclamation.

Maggie once again made big press coverage. All of the newspapers and one TV station turned out for the event. We are very thankful to Barb and Jim for their efforts on behalf of Maggie and all the other familes.

Sean's Uncle Randy

One of the best parts of the event was to have another family member join us. Sean's Uncle Randy, a graduate student in education, joined us and talked about Sean and his sister in Maryland. Maggie's movement grows one member at a time. Randy has participated in the walks in Maryland for several years. We hope to help make the Syracuse walk a strong tradition as well.
