Recommended Readings
The internet can be a wonderful source for information and support, but there is still tremendous value in turning off the computer and opening a book. There are many excellent books that share the experiences of other parents of children with special needs. We found several of these very helpful as we processed the news of our daughter's diagnosis.
There are many advice and how-to books out. Some provide lots of good information, others repeat bad or out-dated ideas. Use what makes sense to you and your family, and leave the rest on the shelf.
Add Your Own Rating and Review
We have a poll on each book review page where you can add your own rating of the book. After you submit your vote, the result of the poll will pop up and a link to send us a comment about the book. Send us your review and we'll add it to the page to share with others!
